One hour of fun activities with ponies and an instructor.
One hour’s use of the facilities after the activity for refreshments, which are not included.
TIMETABLE
- 4 pm: arrival at the club
- 4.30 pm: activity begins
- 5.30 pm: refreshments
- 6.30 pm: departure
In winter, times move 30–60 minutes earlier to finish before dark. During the hottest months, they may move 30 minutes later to avoid the heat.
Full payment for all participating children is required to reserve the date: BOOK HERE.
If it rains, the activity will be postponed to the next available date. Cancellations with at least 48 hours’ notice receive a full refund.
Please leave the facilities at the agreed time, one hour after the activity ends.
BEFORE THE ACTIVITY
We need to know the number and ages of the children to plan the activities appropriately. We will request this information one week beforehand. Last-minute changes can be made up to two days before the agreed date.
ACTIVITY DESCRIPTION
Groups of 5–8 children: there will be one group, with one pony per child. After a brief introduction and explanation of the rules and activities, children groom their ponies and ride in the arena, completing basic balance and skill exercises. All activities are led and supervised by instructors.
Groups of 9–16 children: there will be two groups, and the activity lasts one and a half hours.
- Group 1 first grooms the ponies and completes practical leading exercises in pairs, then rides.
- Group 2 begins with an introductory riding lesson in the arena, then grooms the ponies and completes a leading exercise in pairs.
Larger groups will be organised according to the number and ages of the children.
WHAT TO WEAR
For safety, participants must wear closed shoes, preferably made of sturdy material. Sandals, flip-flops and ballet flats are not suitable.
Sports clothing or long leggings are recommended for comfort.
Instructors provide helmets.
DECORATIONS
You may decorate the space as you wish, provided you leave it as you found it.
PICNIC AND REFRESHMENTS
Tables and benches are available under a long canopy. Beside this area is a small building with a fridge where you can store drinks before the activity.
We do not provide food, cake or drinks.
RULES
These rules help the activity run smoothly and protect the animals, participants and surroundings.
- Do not shout: you may frighten the ponies.
- Do not run near the ponies: you may frighten them.
- Never stand behind a pony: it may not see you and could kick or step on you.
- Do not throw stones, sticks or other objects that could hurt or frighten ponies or children.
- Ball games are prohibited throughout the riding centre.
- Do not enter the arenas or play with equipment inside them. These are working areas used for lessons.
- Do not climb on gates or fences: they are not designed for this and may break.
- Leave the space as you found it after the party.
